Man charged with murder after neighbour is found dead 'with his penis chopped off'

A murder trial has been set after a man was found dead with his penis cut off.
Jeffrey Barry, 56, was charged in the death of his neighbour Kamil Ahmed, whose body was discovered at supported mental health flats.
Police found Mr Ahmed’s penis next to his body when they arrived at the scene, a court heard.
Bristol Crown Court was told that Barry would be tried for murder next month.
Tabitha Macfarlane, defending, said Barry’s mental health was being assessed before the trial gets underway, the Bristol Post reports.
Barry was arrested in connection with the death and appeared at Bristol Magistrates' Court charged with murder in July last year.
Mr Ahmed, who was in his late 40s, was found dead at the flats in Wells Road, which are run by the charity Milestones Trust.
The trial at Bristol Crown Court is expected to last up to two weeks.
