Three Years After: President Buhari Sympathizes with the Families of the Captured Chibok Schoolgirls

Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari has sympathized with the families of the school girls who were captured in Chibok town, Borno State, North-East Nigeria exactly three years ago.  

The president disclosed this in some tweets he shared on his official twitter handle. He, among other things, said that his adminstration is negotiating with the captors for the release of the abducted girls. He also said that his government is ready to "bend- backwards" to ensure the girls are released.

Meanwhile, some mothers of the abducted girls staged a protest today, demanding to see president Buhari.
The women who were at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja where the first annual Chibok Girls’ lecture held demanded to see President Muhammadu Buhari over the whereabouts of their daughters.
“If you give me my baby now, I will go back,” Esther Yakubu, one of the mothers, said.
She added, “Which patience do you want me to exercise? He is celebrating the the graduation of his own children, I also want to celebrate the graduation of my children.
